Brownies with cream cheese
To prepare a delicious and savory dessert, we start by gathering the necessary ingredients. We need butter, chocolate, sugar, vanilla, eggs, flour, and salt. The first step is to melt the butter and chocolate, which we will cut into small cubes for even melting. These are placed in a heat-resistant container, which we set over a pot of boiling water, forming a bain-marie. It is important to stir constantly to prevent the chocolate from burning.
Once the chocolate and butter have completely melted and combined into a homogeneous mixture, we take the container off the heat and add the sugar and vanilla essence. We mix well so that the sugar is perfectly incorporated. Then, we add the eggs, one at a time, stirring with a wooden spoon to achieve a fine and creamy texture. At this point, we add the flour and a pinch of salt, continuing to mix until the mixture becomes homogeneous and consistent, without lumps.
Now, it is time to prepare our baking dish. We take a dish of about 23x23 cm and line it with baking paper to facilitate the removal of the dessert after baking. We pour about three-quarters of the chocolate mixture into the dish, ensuring we form an even layer. Then, we set aside a small cup of this mixture to use later.
Next, we take care of the cream cheese. It will be mixed well until it becomes fluffy, at medium speed. We add the sugar, vanilla, and one egg, continuing to mix until we obtain a homogeneous and creamy mixture. This cream will add a refined taste and a velvety texture to our dessert.
With the cream cheese ready, we carefully pour it over the chocolate layer in the dish. Then, we take the chocolate mixture we reserved and place it on top, using a spoon to create a marbled effect. It is important not to mix too much, so the layers remain distinct.
Now, we preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius and place the dish inside. We bake the dessert for about 25 minutes, until the edges are firm and the center is slightly soft. After baking, it is essential to let the dessert cool completely in the dish, to stabilize it and to cut it easily into portions without breaking. Thus, we will enjoy a delicious cheesecake brownie, perfect for any occasion!
