To bring these delicious potato dishes to life, which we will call "Stuffed Potato Tartines", I invite you to follow the necessary steps together to create them. These tartines are a perfect combination of the crispy texture of the potatoes and the intense flavor of smoked sausages, and in the coming days, they can be integrated into various ingenious recipes.

To begin, we prepare the potatoes. Choose medium-sized potatoes with smooth skin to obtain uniform slices. Peel them and cut them into very thin slices, about 2-3 mm. These slices will form the base of our tartines. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease it with a little oil to prevent sticking.

Place a first layer of potato slices on the prepared tray, being careful to lay them slightly overlapping. Next, add a generous layer of grated cheddar cheese, which will bring an intense flavor and creamy texture. Then, add a few slices of smoked sausages, which will provide flavor and taste to the dish. Cover with another layer of potato slices, thus forming a mini cake of ingredients.

After you have created all the layers, brush the surface with a little oil to help achieve a golden and crispy crust. Cover the tartines with another piece of parchment paper and place a heavier tray on top, which will keep everything compact during baking. Place everything in the preheated oven and let it bake for 20 minutes.

After this interval, remove the weight and the parchment paper, leaving the tartines in the oven to continue baking. Leave them until they become golden and crispy, which may take between 10 and 15 minutes. When they are ready, take them out of the oven and let them cool slightly before cutting.

These potato tartines are ideal to be served as appetizers or side dishes, but also to be used in creative recipes the next day when they become softer.
