Cabbage is a versatile and healthy ingredient, and our sautéed cabbage recipe will surely bring a splash of flavor to your table. We start by removing the wilted outer leaves of the cabbage, ensuring that we use only the fresh and crunchy leaves. After cleaning the cabbage, we carefully chop it into thin strips, also known as 'fideluta'. This way, the cabbage will sauté evenly and absorb the flavors from the added ingredients.

In a large pot, we heat a little oil or lard, depending on your preferences. We add the chopped cabbage in batches, being careful not to overcrowd it, as it will be voluminous at first. With patience, we will enjoy its transformation, and after a few minutes, the cabbage will soften, allowing the flavors to unfold. We sprinkle salt and ground pepper to enhance the taste, mixing all the ingredients well.

Once the cabbage starts to sauté, we add the sliced bell pepper, which will provide a pleasant contrast both visually and in taste. The aroma of thyme and sweet paprika will complete the dish, bringing an enticing fragrance to your kitchen. We carefully mix everything, homogenizing the ingredients, and then pour in a cup of water. We serve the sautéed cabbage alongside smoked sausages, fried until crispy, and with green hot peppers for an extra kick.
