To prepare a delicious vegetable dish with peas, we start by preparing the ingredients. The first step is to peel the onion, removing the outer layers. We wash it well under a stream of cold water and chop it finely to release its flavors. Next, we take care of the carrot, which we peel and wash. After removing impurities, we cut the carrot into thin rounds so it cooks evenly. The celery stalk, also known as celeriac, is then carefully washed and cut into rounds, adding a crunchy texture and a distinct taste to the dish.

The bell pepper is another essential ingredient, which we clean of the core and seeds, then wash it well and cut it into thick strips that will add color and flavor to our meal. Once all the vegetables are prepared, we place them in a large pot. We add olive oil, a little salt to bring out their aroma, and a cup of water, essential to start the steaming process. We cover the pot with a lid and let the vegetables steam on low heat, stirring occasionally to ensure they do not stick to the bottom of the pot.

After the vegetables have softened slightly and started to release their aromas, we take care of the peas. We wash them well and drain them, then add them over the vegetables in the pot. We continue to let the mixture simmer, adding enough water to cover everything. This way, the vegetables will cook evenly and absorb each other's flavors.

Once all the ingredients have boiled, we add the broth, which will enrich the dish with a note of acidity and a more intense flavor. We let the food boil for a few minutes, gently stirring to integrate the broth with the rest of the ingredients. Finally, we ensure that the dish is properly salted and add fresh dill, washed and finely chopped. This will provide a fresh and vibrant aroma to our dish.
