To create a delicious almond bread recipe, we need a few essential ingredients and a bit of skill. We start by preparing a large bowl, into which we will add the freshly sifted flour, powdered sugar, diced butter, yeast, and salt. It is important to keep them apart, as salt can inhibit the activity of the yeast, which we do not want. We will carefully mix the dry ingredients, ensuring that the yeast and salt do not meet.

After mixing the ingredients well, we gradually add the liquid, made of water and milk, mixing with our hands until a dough forms. It is essential to incorporate all the flour from the bowl so that the dough is homogeneous. Once we have obtained a dough, we will place it on a well-floured work surface and knead it with our hands for about 5 minutes. The dough should become soft, non-sticky, and easy to shape. After kneading, we shape the dough into a ball and cover it with a large bowl, letting it rise for an hour in a warm, draft-free place.

Once the dough has risen, we gently knead it on the work surface to release the air. We add the chopped almonds, incorporating them well into the dough. We shape the dough into a ball again, then flatten it with our palms. Now, we sprinkle almond flakes on the surface of the dough, adding a crunchy texture and a delicious taste.

The dough should be covered with a damp kitchen towel and left to rise for an hour in a warm place, where it will have the chance to rise again. Meanwhile, we prepare the baking tray, which we line with parchment paper, ensuring that the bread will not stick.

We preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius, getting ready to bake our delight. Once the oven is hot, we place the bread in the tray and bake it for 20-25 minutes until it turns golden and emits a tempting aroma.

After baking, we let the bread cool on a rack, where it will continue to develop its flavor. When completely cooled, it is ready to be enjoyed, either plain or with butter or jam, turning each slice into a true delicacy. This almond bread will surely bring joy to any meal!
