Drinks - Milk Cocoa by Florica C. - Recipia
The milk is placed in a small pot and set on low heat on the stove, being careful not to let it stick to the bottom of the pot and not to burn. This is a crucial step, as the milk needs to be warm, not hot, to preserve the flavor and texture. Meanwhile, a 250 ml cup, ideally made of ceramic or glass, is taken and three teaspoons of white or brown sugar and one tablespoon of good quality cocoa are added. These dry ingredients are mixed with a spoon, making sure to break any lumps of cocoa to achieve a fine and even mixture.

When the milk starts to steam and becomes warm, 2-3 tablespoons are scooped out and added to the sugar and cocoa mixture in the cup. It is important to mix well, ensuring that no lumps or dry cocoa pieces remain, so that we obtain a homogeneous preparation. Using a teaspoon, we make sure to mix well even on the edges of the cup to integrate all the ingredients.

Once the milk has reached the ideal temperature, without large air bubbles, it is taken off the heat and carefully poured over the mixture in the cup. This is the moment when the magic happens: the warm milk combines with the cocoa and sugar, creating a creamy and delicious drink. It is stirred again with a circular motion until everything is completely homogenized and there are no traces of cocoa left at the bottom of the cup.

Now, our drink is ready to be served! It is perfect for starting the day, bringing an extra boost of energy and flavor. You can enjoy it at breakfast alongside crispy French toast that absorbs the chocolate aroma, or with a fresh sandwich that offers a nice contrast of textures. This combination will not only delight your taste buds but will also provide a sense of comfort and warmth, perfect for any morning. Savor this moment and enjoy a warm drink that will bring a smile to your face!
