Baking time: 40-45 minutes
Total: 1 hour
Number of servings: 8

If you are looking for a simple and quick recipe for a delicious dessert, then this sweet-salty cheese pie is the perfect choice! The combination of feta cheese with the sweetness of sugar and the texture of yufka creates an unforgettable culinary experience. Let's see the steps to prepare this wonderful pie!

Ingredients:

- 10 sheets of yufka (or pastry sheets)
- 500 g salty cheese (preferably feta, but you can also use cottage cheese)
- 1 cup of sugar (about 200 g, you can adjust to taste)
- 4 tablespoons of sugar for the yogurt mixture
- 3 eggs
- 350 g yogurt (can be plain or Greek)
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 essence of vanilla (optional)

Step 1: Preparing the cheese

In a large bowl, crumble the feta cheese with a fork, then add the cup of sugar and the vanilla sugar. Mix well until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. Taste the mixture to check the sweetness level; if you prefer a sweeter pie, add a little extra sugar.

Step 2: Forming the pie

Take a sheet of yufka and place it on a clean surface. Put a tablespoon of the cheese mixture on the edge of the sheet and start rolling it up, forming a roll, like a pancake. Continue this process until you have filled all 10 sheets of yufka. Arrange the rolls in spirals or lines in a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between them for even baking.

Step 3: Preparing the yogurt mixture

In another bowl, mix the yogurt with the eggs, the 4 tablespoons of sugar, and the vanilla essence. Mix well until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. This mixture will add a creamy texture to the pie.

Step 4: Baking

Pour the yogurt mixture evenly over the yufka rolls in the dish. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the dish in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until the pie becomes golden and crispy on top.

Step 5: Serving

After the pie is baked, let it cool slightly before cutting it into portions. It is delicious both warm and cold! You can serve it plain or with a spoonful of yogurt on top for added creaminess.

Practical tips:

- If you can't find yufka sheets, you can use regular pastry sheets, but make sure to grease them well with oil between layers to prevent sticking.
- Experiment with various types of cheese, such as cottage cheese or a mix of salty and sweet cheese, for a more complex flavor.
- For a touch of freshness, you can add herbs (such as dill or parsley) to the cheese mixture.

This sweet-salty cheese pie is perfect for an afternoon snack or a quick dessert, having a texture that perfectly combines crispiness and creaminess. Treat yourself and your loved ones with this delight and enjoy every slice! Enjoy your meal!
