Yogurt Ice Cream and Strawberry Sauce
To create a delicious and refreshing dessert, we start by preparing the cheese base. In a deep bowl, we put fresh cheese, creamy yogurt, and powdered sugar. Using an electric mixer, we mix the ingredients at medium speed until we obtain a smooth, fine, and fluffy paste. It is essential that all ingredients are at room temperature to combine better and avoid lumps. Once we have obtained the cream, we transfer it to an airtight container and let it cool in the freezer.
It is important to check the cream from time to time, stirring it with a spatula or whisk to break the ice crystals that form. This step will ensure a velvety and pleasant texture for the final dessert. We leave the cream in the freezer for about two hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
In the meantime, we dedicate ourselves to preparing the strawberry or raspberry sauce, depending on everyone's preferences. We wash the fresh fruits and cut them into smaller pieces, then put them in a saucepan. We add a little sugar to balance the acidity of the fruits and let them simmer on low heat, stirring constantly. After about 10-15 minutes, when the fruits have softened and turned into a thick and aromatic sauce, we take the saucepan off the heat and let the sauce cool.
When the cheese cream has reached the desired consistency and the fruit sauce has cooled completely, we are ready to assemble the dessert. In a dish or individual cups, we put a generous layer of cheese cream, followed by a layer of strawberry or raspberry sauce. We can repeat these layers, depending on the size of the containers, until we fill them.
For an attractive appearance, we can decorate the dessert with some fresh fruits on top, mint leaves, or even some chocolate flakes, depending on everyone's preferences. Our dessert is now ready to be enjoyed, bringing a touch of freshness and a delicious taste. It is a quick, easy, and incredibly good choice, perfect for warm summer days or any special occasion.
