To prepare a delicious and simple dessert, we start by breaking the chocolate into small pieces. These will be melted to create a creamy base for our cake. We place the chocolate pieces in a pan, to which we add the butter cut into cubes. It is essential to melt these two ingredients together in a bain-marie, so that the chocolate melts evenly without burning. Once we have achieved a homogeneous composition, we let it cool so that it is easy to handle in the next steps.

Meanwhile, we take care of the biscuits. This step requires a little attention, as the biscuits need to be crushed very finely. You can use a food processor or, if you prefer, you can put them in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Once obtained, they will add a delicious crunchy texture to our dessert. Place the crushed biscuits in a large bowl and add the cooled chocolate and butter mixture. Mix everything with a spatula or with your hands, making sure that each crumb of biscuit is well coated in chocolate.

Once we have obtained a homogeneous composition, we can start forming the balls. Use a teaspoon or your palms to take portions of the mixture and shape them into balls. Each ball will be equipped with a toothpick, which will facilitate serving. These little delights can then be decorated. We suggest rolling half of the formed balls in coconut flakes for a tropical look and subtle flavor, and the other half in cocoa for an intense chocolate taste.

After you finish decorating the balls, place them on a tray and put them in the fridge. It is recommended to let them cool for at least an hour, to firm up and achieve the perfect texture. Before serving, you can play with the decoration: the coconut flakes and cocoa can be replaced with ground nuts, walnuts, or pistachios, depending on your preferences or those of your guests. This dessert is perfect for a party, a gathering with friends, or simply to treat your family.
