Cream cheese: We start by combining the two types of cheese with sugar, mixing them well until we achieve a smooth and homogeneous composition. It is important that the cheese is at room temperature for easier integration. Once the cream cheese is ready, we can move on to preparing the dough.

Dough: In a large bowl, we mix the dry ingredients, including flour, yeast, and a pinch of salt. Then, we gradually add the liquid ingredients, such as warm milk and melted butter, continuously mixing until we obtain an elastic and homogeneous dough. We cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place, away from drafts, until it doubles in size, a process that takes about 1-2 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.

After the dough has risen, we divide it into two equal portions. We take the first portion and roll out a not too thin sheet, which we cut into equal strips, both horizontally and vertically. The resulting squares are dipped in melted butter, ensuring that each piece is well coated, then coated in sugar for added sweetness.

In a buttered bundt pan, we place half of these squares, forming an even layer. On top of them, we add half of the previously prepared cream cheese, distributing it evenly to ensure a consistent flavor. We continue with the second sheet of dough, cutting pieces again and alternating them with the remaining cheese. This alternating technique will create a wonderful texture, and the combination of sweet dough and creamy cheese will be simply irresistible.

Once we finish layering, we let everything rise again for about 30 minutes, so it becomes fluffier. Before placing the pan in the oven, we brush the top with a beaten egg, which will give a golden and shiny crust. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the bundt for about 40 minutes. When we think it’s ready, we do the toothpick test: if it comes out clean, it means our delight is perfectly baked.

Served warm, this bundt is truly a treat, and the lemon cream that complements its taste brings a special flavor, turning each slice into a true tasting experience. A flavorful section that combines the fluffy texture of the dough with the creaminess of the cheese and the pleasant acidity of the lemon will surely be a hit at any table!
