Stuffed Peppers in the Oven

To prepare delicious stuffed peppers, we start by preparing the ground meat mixture, which will be the base of this savory dish. In a large bowl, we combine the ground meat with fresh ingredients such as finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, washed and drained rice, finely chopped parsley, and our favorite spices like salt, pepper, and sweet paprika. This mixing will ensure a rich flavor and pleasant texture. Meanwhile, we take care of the peppers. We choose bell peppers, preferably of various colors, to give an attractive look to the final dish. We wash the peppers well under a stream of cold water, then carefully cut them in half, removing the seeds and stems. It is important to ensure that the peppers are cleaned, as this will allow the filling to integrate perfectly. After preparing the mixture, we fill each half of the pepper with the meat and rice mixture, being careful not to overfill them, as the rice will expand during cooking. We place the stuffed peppers in a deep baking dish that we have previously greased with a little oil to prevent sticking. To create a delicious sauce, we pour tomato juice over the peppers arranged in the dish, adding a little water so that we have enough liquid to help with cooking. We cover the dish with aluminum foil, this step being essential to maintain moisture and allow the ingredients to cook evenly. We place the dish in the preheated oven at a medium temperature. After about 30 minutes, the peppers will start to release their juices, and the aroma will fill the entire kitchen. Halfway through cooking, we remove the aluminum foil to allow the peppers to brown nicely and develop a tasty crust. We continue baking for about 20-25 minutes, checking periodically. When the peppers are almost done, we remove the dish from the oven and add the mozzarella slices on top. We put the dish back in the oven for a few minutes, just enough for the cheese to melt and become golden and appetizing. Finally, we take it out of the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. These stuffed peppers are perfect for a family meal or to impress guests. Enjoy your meal!
