Appetizers - Fabergé Eggs by Tudora E. - Recipia
Jelly-filled eggs are a delicacy that combines taste with visual appeal, transforming a simple ingredient into a culinary work of art. Even if you are not religious, these eggs are perfect for adding a touch of elegance and creativity to any meal, especially on festive days. Roll up your sleeves and get ready for a culinary adventure!

Start by carefully washing the eggs, making sure to remove any impurities from their shells. Dry them with a clean towel, then take a glass stopper from a vodka bottle (or a similar object) to create a small hole in the top of each egg. It is important to break the egg carefully so that it does not crack more than you intend. Once you have the cap, empty the contents of the egg into a bowl, which you can later use for a delicious omelet.

After emptying the eggs, wash their interiors with cold water and let them drain upside down. In the meantime, you can prepare the filling. Here you can let your imagination run wild! You can use colorful vegetable cubes, such as red bell peppers, carrots, peas, or fresh dill, all alternated with cheese and ham to create a spectacle of colors and textures.

Once you have prepared the filling, it’s time to deal with the gelatin. Soak 10 grams of gelatin in 300 ml of cold water, adding a crushed garlic clove for a more intense flavor. Heat the mixture until the gelatin completely dissolves, then strain it to remove the garlic. This will add a subtle flavor to your jelly.

Now, with all the ingredients prepared, start filling the egg shells. First, grease the inside of the shells with a little oil to prevent sticking, then carefully add the colorful filling in layers. Once you have filled the eggs, pour the gelatin carefully so that it completely covers the ingredients inside. Use the cap you saved from each egg and place it on top, then put the eggs in the refrigerator to set.

After they have been in the refrigerator overnight, you will see how the gelatin has set perfectly, and the eggs are now ready to be peeled. Gently remove the shell, and the result will be a pleasant surprise: colorful and appetizing eggs that can be served on slices of toasted bread rubbed with garlic and drizzled with olive oil.

These jelly-filled eggs are not only a delicious dish but also an excellent way to impress your guests. So, don’t hesitate to try them and enjoy the applause!
