Savory - Smoked Salmon Salad by Estera E. - Recipia
To prepare a delicious and nutritious salad, we start by ensuring that all the ingredients are fresh and of good quality. We begin with the vegetables, which we wash very well under cold running water to remove any impurities. It is important to gently pat them dry with an absorbent towel to avoid adding water to the salad. After completing this step, we proceed to peel and chop the vegetables. Whether we choose tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, or carrots, each vegetable adds extra color and flavor.

Onion, an essential ingredient, is peeled and then finely chopped. It is good to rub it with a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of oil, as this process helps to soften the onion and reduce its sharpness. This method significantly enhances the flavors of our salad. We continue with the other vegetables, adding olives, which provide a salty and intense taste. These can be green or black, depending on everyone's preferences.

After we have chopped all the vegetables, we turn our attention to the cheese. It is grated finely so that it integrates perfectly into the salad, bringing a creamy and savory note. In a large salad bowl, we mix all the ingredients: the chopped vegetables, the prepared onion, and the grated cheese. It is time to play with the flavors!

For an extra touch of refinement, we garnish the salad with pieces of smoked salmon, which adds a unique flavor. Thin slices of lemon can also be a decorative and aromatic element. It is crucial to adjust the taste of salt and oil according to personal preferences, being careful not to overdo it, as both the salmon and cheese already contain salt.

This salad is perfect as an appetizer but can also be served as a main dish, being filling and full of nutrients. Enjoy your meal!
