To prepare a delicious tuna salad, we start with the basic ingredients that will provide us with a healthy and flavorful meal. We begin with the tuna, a versatile and nutritious ingredient, which we take out of the can and drain well of its own juice. This step is essential to prevent the salad from becoming too wet. Once the tuna is prepared, we turn our attention to green or black olives, depending on preferences. We carefully remove the pits and chop them into small pieces to integrate them harmoniously into the mixture.

To add a touch of freshness, we finely chop a bunch of fresh parsley. This will not only bring an extra flavor but will also make the salad more visually appealing. In a large bowl, we combine the tuna, chopped olives, and parsley, adding lemon juice, which will enhance all the flavors. We season with salt and pepper to taste, being careful not to overdo it, as the tuna and olives already have a salty taste.

While mixing the ingredients, we prepare the tomatoes. We choose small-sized tomatoes, ideal for stuffing. We cut a small cap off each tomato with a knife and use a teaspoon to scoop out the flesh from inside. This will allow us to create small edible vessels filled with our delicious filling. After scooping out the flesh, we leave the tomatoes upside down for a few minutes to dry, so we don’t add extra moisture to the salad.

Once the tomatoes are prepared, we fill each tomato with the tuna mixture, being careful not to overcrowd them. We place the cap cut earlier on top of each tomato, creating an elegant and appetizing look. For a finishing touch, we decorate with a few parsley leaves, which will add a color contrast and intensify the flavor.

The last step is to leave the stuffed tomatoes in the refrigerator to chill and allow the flavors to combine. It’s ideal to serve them after they have been chilled for at least 30 minutes, but they can also be prepared a few hours before serving.
