Baking time: 15 minutes
Number of servings: 4

The history of pizza is fascinating and full of creativity. Initially, pizza was a simple bread dish topped with available ingredients, allowing each family to adapt their recipe based on what they had on hand. Today, pizza has evolved into a globally popular dish, but its essence remains the same: to be delicious and reflect the personality of those who prepare it.

That’s why we present to you Rustic Pizza – a quick and simple recipe, perfect for using up leftover ingredients from the fridge and enjoying a delicious meal. This is not just a pizza; it’s a family story, a moment of conviviality, and, of course, a perfect opportunity to savor something good.

Ingredients:

*For the dough:*
- 500 g white flour
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 300 ml warm water

*For the topping:*
- 5 cherry tomatoes
- 1 homemade smoked sausage
- 200 g chicken breast
- 100 g smoked bacon
- 20-25 mozzarella balls
- 1 small broccoli
- Dried thyme and oregano
- Univer ketchup
- Fresh basil leaves
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper

Useful tips about ingredients:
- Always use high-quality flour for a less sticky and more elastic dough.
- Dry yeast is easy to use, but make sure it’s fresh. Check the expiration date!
- You can replace broccoli with other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms, depending on your preferences.

Preparation:

*Step 1: Preparing the dough*
1. In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil with yeast, sugar, salt, and warm water. Mix well and let it sit in a warm place for about 10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy. This is the sign that the yeast is active and ready to work.

2. In another larger bowl, place the flour and make a well in the center. Pour in the yeast mixture and the remaining oil. Mix with a spoon until the ingredients combine.

3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it well with your hands for about 10 minutes until it becomes elastic and smooth.

4. Divide the dough into two equal parts, shape them into balls, and sprinkle with a little flour. Cover them with a towel and let them rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until they triple in volume.

*Step 2: Preparing the topping*
1. In a skillet, add olive oil and fry the diced bacon and sliced sausage until crispy. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add the chicken breast cut into suitable pieces and season with salt and pepper. Fry until golden brown, then remove it onto a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

3. In a pot, bring salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the broccoli cut into small florets. Let it boil over medium heat until tender, then drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking.

*Step 3: Assembling the pizza*
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (medium-high heat).

2. Turn the risen dough onto a greased baking tray and roll it out with a rolling pin until you achieve a round or rectangular shape, depending on your preference.

3. Spread the entire surface of the dough with Univer ketchup, sprinkle a little thyme and oregano, then add the fried chicken breast, bacon, sausage, broccoli florets, halved cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella balls.

4. Place the tray in the oven and bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the ingredients are well cooked.

*Step 4: Serving*
1. Once the pizza is ready, remove it from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

2. Serve with sweet Univer ketchup for an extra flavor boost.

Enjoy your meal!
