Meat - Snack with Beer, Cheese, and Cumin by Amanda K. - Recipia
We start this tasty and aromatic recipe by preparing all the necessary ingredients. In a generous bowl, we sift the flour to remove any impurities and achieve a fine texture. We add the diced butter, salt, desired herbs, pepper, and if you like it spicy, chili flakes. Using our fingertips, we begin to mix the ingredients, taking care to incorporate the butter into the flour, so that the mixture takes on a sandy appearance, similar to that of a tart dough.

The next step is to add the grated cheese, which will provide an intense flavor and a special taste to the dish. Then, we gradually start adding the beer, mixing gently, until the dough comes together. It is important to knead quickly, just until the dough becomes non-sticky, so as not to make it too elastic. Once we have obtained a homogeneous dough ball, we wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour to enhance its flavors.

After the dough has chilled, we divide it into two equal parts. On a clean surface, we roll out each piece of dough into a sheet about 4-5 mm thick, making sure to use parchment paper cut to the size of the tray. Using a rolling pin or a floured knife, we cut the dough sheet into the desired shapes, ensuring that we do not separate them from each other to maintain a uniform appearance.

We carefully transfer the dough to the tray and, using a fork, prick each shape here and there to allow steam to escape during baking. We brush the surface with an egg yolk, which will give a golden color and an appetizing appearance. Depending on preferences, we can sprinkle seeds, salt, or herbs on top.

We place the tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius, letting them bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the dough turns beautifully golden. Once they are ready, we take the tray out of the oven and, using the rolling pin or knife, gently go over the cuts to separate the pieces. We let them cool on a rack so that they retain their crispy texture.

These delicious dough shapes can be served plain, but they pair wonderfully with various sauces, dips, or salads, thus becoming a perfect snack for any occasion. Enjoy them with friends or family, savoring every bite!
