To prepare the delicious cheese-filled rolls, we start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. The first step is to put the milk in a pot and heat it over low heat. Be careful, the milk should not boil, but just be warm to the touch to activate the yeast. Meanwhile, in a larger bowl, we combine the flour, salt, and yeast, mixing them well to ensure the yeast is evenly distributed in the mixture.

Once the milk reaches the desired temperature, we make a small well in the flour mixture and add the warm milk, along with the sugar, egg, and melted butter. It is essential to knead the dough carefully until it becomes smooth and elastic, without lumps. If we notice that the dough is too sticky, we can add a little flour, but be careful not to make the dough too hard, but rather soft and pleasant to the touch. Once we finish kneading, we cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour, until it doubles in volume.

After the dough has risen, we start dividing it into balls of about 75 grams each. We roll each ball into a round or rectangular shape, not very large, and place a cube of melted cheese in the center. Then, we gather the corners of the dough to the middle and give each roll a round shape. We continue this process until we finish all the dough balls.

We prepare the baking tray by placing parchment paper on it and arrange the rolls next to each other, leaving enough space between them to rise. We let them rise again for about 20 minutes, a good idea being to leave them in the turned-off oven, where it is warm. After the time has passed, we brush each roll with beaten egg to give them a golden and appetizing color when baked. Finally, we sprinkle poppy seeds, sesame, or even a little grated cheese on top, depending on everyone’s preferences.

Now, the rolls are ready to go into the oven. We bake them at low heat until they become nicely browned on top, and their aroma will fill the whole house, inviting us to enjoy them warm. Once taken out of the oven, we let the rolls cool slightly before savoring them, and each bite will be an explosion of flavor, perfect for any occasion!
