To prepare a delicious and comforting side dish, we start by choosing our favorite frozen vegetables, such as carrots, peas, green beans, or corn. These are not only easy to use but also packed with nutrients. In a large skillet, we melt two tablespoons of butter over medium heat. The butter will add a rich flavor and creamy texture to the dish. Once the butter has completely melted, we add the frozen vegetables and sauté them for a few minutes, stirring constantly to ensure they heat evenly and soften slightly while retaining their vibrant color.

Meanwhile, we prepare the rice. It can be boiled according to the package instructions, making sure to add a pinch of salt to enhance its flavor. When the rice is cooked and has absorbed all the water, we add it to the skillet over the sautéed vegetables. We gently mix it so that the rice integrates well with the vegetables, creating a tasty and aromatic blend. We season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. This is the base of our dish, and now it’s time to add a special ingredient: freshly chopped parsley. This will add a touch of freshness and color. We mix again to evenly distribute the parsley.

After all the ingredients are well combined, we add a raw egg, which will bind the meatballs and give them a pleasant texture. We form medium-sized meatballs, being careful not to make them too large, so they cook through well, or too small, so they don’t dry out. In a separate skillet, we heat the oil until it reaches the optimal frying temperature. When the oil is hot, we carefully add the meatballs, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. We fry them until they are nicely browned and crispy on the outside, which will take about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Once the meatballs are ready, we remove them with a spatula and place them on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil. These delicious meatballs can be served as a side dish alongside various roasts, but they can also be a savory appetizer, accompanied by a yogurt or tomato sauce. Now, it’s time to enjoy a simple yet flavorful dish that will surely impress any guests!
