Bacon, with its succulent and rich aroma, is a staple ingredient in many traditional recipes, and frying it is a process that requires attention and patience. Start by cutting the bacon into cubes or slices, depending on your preferences. Make sure the pieces are uniform so that they cook evenly. Place the cut bacon in a large skillet preheated over medium heat. There is no need to add oil, as the bacon will release enough fat as it fries. However, if you notice that the pieces are very lean, you can add a little oil to prevent sticking.

Let the bacon fry for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure it browns evenly. You will see how it transforms, becoming crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It is important not to rush this process, as its flavor will intensify with frying. When the bacon is well browned, remove it from the skillet and set it aside on a paper towel to absorb the excess fat.

In the same skillet, you can add your favorite vegetables, such as onion, bell pepper, or carrots, to sauté in the fat left by the bacon. They will take on a unique flavor enriched by the essence of the bacon. Sauté the vegetables for 5-7 minutes until they become slightly soft. You can add spices to taste - salt, pepper, and maybe even a little minced garlic for an extra kick of flavor.

Once the vegetables are ready, return the fried bacon to the skillet, mixing everything together to combine the flavors. If you wish, you can also add a splash of white wine or water to deglaze the skillet and gather all the flavors left at the bottom. Let everything simmer on low heat for a few minutes so that the flavors meld together.

This dish of fried bacon with vegetables is perfect to be served alongside a side of mashed potatoes or a fresh salad. Enjoy your meal!
