To prepare a delicious recipe for baked potatoes with a crispy crust, we will start by peeling the potatoes. It is important to choose potatoes of the right size. If the potatoes are medium-sized, we will prepare them to cut them crosswise, placing them between two chopsticks or even between the handles of wooden spoons. This trick will help us achieve even cuts and ensure that we do not cut the potatoes too deep.

The cuts will be made at a distance of 2-4 mm from each other, to allow the flavors to penetrate inside the potatoes during baking. Once we have completed this step, we will place the potatoes in the baking tray or in the special dish intended for microwave cooking. It is time to brush them with melted butter or clarified butter (ghee) to achieve a rich texture and intense flavor.

The potatoes will be placed in the preheated oven, where they will bake for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the amount of potatoes used. It is essential to brush them with oil every 10-15 minutes to achieve a crispy and appetizing crust. If we opt for microwave cooking, for about 8 medium potatoes, 10 minutes of cooking should be sufficient.

To check if they are cooked inside, insert a toothpick into the potatoes; if it goes in easily, the potatoes are ready. At this point, we will add breadcrumbs and grated cheese or cheese on top of the potatoes. This will provide a savory flavor and a delicious crust. The potatoes will then be placed back in the oven, setting the grill function. The grilling time should be 10-15 minutes, and in the case of the microwave grill, only 5 minutes.

When the potatoes have obtained a golden and crispy crust, we will take them out of the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
