Desert - Truffles by Mirona M. - Recipia
To prepare these delicious chocolate truffles, we will start by melting the chocolate, an essential ingredient, along with margarine and water, using a steaming method. This will allow the chocolate to melt evenly without burning or forming lumps. So, in a heatproof bowl, add the chopped chocolate into small pieces, diced margarine, and water. Place the bowl over a pot of boiling water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Stir constantly with a spatula or wooden spoon so that the ingredients combine perfectly and you achieve a smooth and homogeneous mixture. This process may take a few minutes, but patience will reward you with a velvety texture.

Once the mixture has completely melted, take the bowl off the heat and let it cool to room temperature. It is important not to rush this step; let the chocolate cool naturally to avoid hardening too quickly. Once it has reached the desired temperature, transfer the mixture to the freezer for about 30 minutes. Check from time to time, as we do not want the mixture to freeze completely, but just to become firm enough to be shaped.

After this interval, take the mixture out of the freezer and get ready to form the truffles. Using a spoon or your hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them between your palms to form uniform balls. The size can vary according to personal preference, but I recommend they be about 2-3 cm in diameter. These will be easy to eat and pleasant in taste.

Once you have formed all the truffles, prepare a plate with cocoa powder, an ingredient that will add not only an intense flavor but also a pleasant texture. Roll each chocolate ball in cocoa, making sure it is evenly coated. This step not only enhances the appearance of the truffles but also intensifies the chocolate flavor.

Finally, place the truffles on a plate and let them cool slightly before enjoying them. These delights are perfect for serving at parties, as a dessert, or simply as a sweet snack during moments of indulgence. Savor every bite of these wonderful truffles that combine the velvety texture of chocolate with the subtle bitterness of cocoa.

Ingredients

-200 g of dark vegan chocolate (the bitter version that contains only cocoa butter) -70 g vegetable margarine -1 tbsp of water -2 tbsp whisky -cocoa *I optionally added 5-6 tbsp of whipped vegetable cream that I had left from another cake *and I removed the whisky because I made it for kids, although I think 1 tbsp wouldn't have been a problem.
