Desert - Green apple ice cream by Ariadna D. - Recipia
To prepare a delicious apple dessert, we start by carefully washing the apples, choosing the juiciest and most aromatic ones. It is recommended to use fresh, seasonal apples to achieve an intense flavor. After washing them, cut them into pieces, keeping the skin, as it adds not only a pleasant appearance but also extra nutrients.

After cutting the apples, you can choose between two methods to cook them: either boil them in a pot of water or microwave them. If you opt for boiling, make sure there is enough water to cover the apples. Let them boil over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes or until they become tender. If you choose to microwave them, place them in a covered dish and cook for 5-8 minutes, checking occasionally to ensure they do not burn.

Once the apples are softened, carefully drain the liquid left, whether it is water or the natural juice of the apples. Now it is time to turn these tender pieces into a smooth puree. Use a blender or hand mixer and blend the apples until you achieve a uniform and creamy texture. Add sugar, adjusting the amount according to the sweetness of the apples and your personal preferences. Mix well to ensure the sugar dissolves completely in the warm puree.

After the sugar is incorporated, it is time to add the whipped cream. Use fresh whipped cream, whipped until firm, to add a touch of creaminess and a delicate flavor. Gently fold it in with a spatula to retain the air in the cream, which will make the dessert light and fluffy.

Once you have a homogeneous and delicious mixture, take the desired molds for freezing. You can use ice cube trays, plastic cups, or even small bowls, depending on your preferences. Fill each mold with the apple puree and cream mixture, leaving a little space at the top for the mixture to expand as it freezes. Place the molds in the freezer and let them sit for a few hours, preferably overnight, until the dessert becomes solid.

When you are ready to enjoy this delicacy, take the molds out of the freezer and let them sit for a few minutes at room temperature to release them more easily. Enjoy this refreshing dessert, perfect for warm days or as a healthy snack at any time of the day.
