Pizza rolls made from Yufka sheets

Today I will tell you about a delicious recipe I tried using Yufka pastry sheets, an ingredient I recently discovered at a supermarket. At the price of just 4.99 lei for a package containing three large sheets, I felt it was worth trying them. Yufka sheets are very versatile and, to my surprise, passed the test with flying colors. So I got to work with great enthusiasm. The first step in preparing this recipe is to open the package of pastry sheets and lay them out on a clean board. Using a sharp knife, cut the sheets into squares of about 10x10 cm. These will be the base of our rolls. To achieve a crispy and tasty texture, brush each square with a thin layer of oil. It is important to overlap 2-3 brushed squares so that the rolls become more consistent. In a bowl, beat an egg and add cheese, preferably cottage cheese or feta cheese, for a more intense flavor. Mix the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous composition. Then, take a slice of tenderloin, which can be smoked or plain, and place it on the cheese mixture. Fill each square with this mixture, being careful not to put too much, so that the roll does not fall apart during baking. After you have filled all the squares, carefully roll them up, forming beautiful rolls. Place them in a previously greased baking dish with a little oil to prevent sticking. Once all the rolls are arranged, pour tomato sauce over them. You can use a sauce made from fresh tomatoes or a store-bought sauce, depending on your preferences. On top, add a few halved cherry tomatoes for an extra splash of color and freshness. The dish with pizza rolls is placed in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and left to bake for 25-30 minutes or until the rolls become golden and crispy. The aroma that will fill the kitchen during baking is simply irresistible. When ready, take the rolls out of the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve them warm, alongside sweet or spicy ketchup, according to your preference. This simple and quick recipe will surely become a favorite among your loved ones. Enjoy your meal!
