Strawberry Jam Diet Recipe

To prepare a delicious strawberry jam, the first step is to take care of the fresh strawberries. We remove the stems and wash them carefully under a stream of cold water to remove any impurities. It is essential to choose ripe, juicy, and aromatic strawberries, as they will influence the final taste of the jam. After cleaning and washing them, we let them drain well. In a large pot, we will start layering the strawberries and the sweetener. We place an even layer of strawberries, followed by a layer of sweetener, whether it's sugar or another preferred ingredient. We continue to alternate layers of strawberries and sweetener until we finish all the ingredients. It is important that the last layer is sweetener, as it helps extract the juice from the strawberries. Once we finish, we let the pot sit at room temperature for about 2 hours. This process allows the strawberries to release their juice, creating a delicious base for the jam. After two hours, we place the pot over medium heat and let it boil, stirring gently to prevent sticking. As the jam begins to boil, a foam will form on the surface, which we need to remove with a skimmer. This step is essential to achieve a clear and fine jam. When we think the jam is almost ready, we will do a simple test. We put a spoonful of jam on a small plate, let it cool slightly, and then check the consistency. If the jam runs off slowly, it means it is ready. After turning off the heat, we add the lemon salt, which not only helps preserve the color but also enhances the flavor of the jam. We mix well to ensure that the salt disperses evenly. Now, it's time to take care of the jars. We ensure that the jars are well washed and dried, then pour the hot jam into them, leaving a little space at the top. We screw the lid on tightly and then turn the jars upside down. This technique creates a vacuum inside, which will help the jam keep in excellent condition for a longer period. Thus, we can enjoy the aroma of summer even on chilly winter days.
