If you are looking for a quick and delicious recipe, cauliflower and cheese tart is the perfect choice. This recipe is ideal for lunches, light dinners, or even as an appetizer for a festive meal. The rich taste of cheese perfectly blends with the delicate aroma of cauliflower, while the crispy texture of the crust adds an extra charm. Let’s see how you can prepare this tasty tart step by step!

Ingredients:
- 500 g cauliflower (about 1 head)
- 250 g cheese (preferably cottage cheese or feta cheese)
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 3 eggs
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 150 g grated cheese (parmesan or cheddar)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for greasing the pan

Step 1: Preparing the ingredients. Start by cleaning the cauliflower and cutting it into small florets. Then, grate the potatoes using a large-hole grater. Mix them with a little salt and let them drain for 10-15 minutes; this step will help remove excess water, providing a better texture for the tart.

Step 2: Grating the onion. Use a small grater to obtain finely grated onion, which will perfectly combine with the other ingredients.

Step 3: Combining the ingredients. In a large bowl, add the drained potatoes, grated onion, cauliflower florets, cottage cheese, beaten eggs, and cream. Mix everything with a spatula until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Don’t forget to season with salt and pepper to taste!

Step 4: Preparing the pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 33x23 cm (or 13x9 inch) pan with oil. This will help prevent the tart from sticking and will provide a nicely browned crust.

Step 5: Assembling the tart. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and level the surface with a spatula. Sprinkle grated cheese on top for extra flavor and an appetizing appearance.

Step 6: Baking. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the surface is golden and crispy.

Step 7: Serving. Once the tart is ready, let it cool for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve it warm or at room temperature, alongside a fresh salad or a garlic yogurt sauce for a delicious contrast.

Variation suggestions: You can add green or black olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or even some herbs like dill or basil to the tart mixture to give it an even more interesting flavor. You can also experiment with different types of cheese, such as mozzarella or goat cheese, to achieve a unique result.

This cauliflower and cheese tart is not only a simple recipe but also a perfect way to bring a healthy and delicious meal to the table. Preparing it will surely earn you compliments from your loved ones, and its taste will remain in everyone’s memory!
