To prepare delicious bagels, start by gathering all the necessary ingredients: wheat flour, lukewarm water, yeast, sugar, salt, and possibly a little olive oil. Once you have set the machine to the kneading mode and started it, you will see the dough begin to take shape. It is important to let the machine do its job, and when the program is finished, carefully remove the dough from the container. Knead it by hand for one minute to give it a uniform texture.

After you have finished kneading, divide the dough into smaller portions, which you will roll between your palms. Using a wet finger in flour, make a small hole in the center of each portion, being careful not to ruin the shape of the bagels. This hole will help with the even cooking of the final product. In the meantime, prepare a pot on the stove with boiling water. When you are ready, add the bagels one by one into the water, letting them boil for about a minute. This step is essential as it helps create that specific crust of bagels.

After boiling, remove the bagels with a slotted spoon and place them on a baking tray. Brush each bagel with beaten egg and sprinkle poppy seeds on top to give them an attractive appearance and savory taste.
