Spinach and meat salad

Savory - Spinach and meat salad by Evelina M. - Recipia

Grilled meat for salad can be made from any desired meat, whether it's chicken, pork, or beef, grilled or fried. Additionally, the salad can be enjoyed without meat to accommodate everyone's preferences. We start with preparing the meat; if you choose chicken, cut the breast into thin strips and marinate it with olive oil, salt, pepper, crushed garlic, and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Let the meat marinate for at least 30 minutes, during which the flavors will blend perfectly. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables for the salad. Fresh tomatoes, preferably cherry, add a touch of sweetness and color. Cut them in halves or quarters, depending on size. Fresh spinach is an excellent choice for added nutrients and a refined taste. Wash the spinach leaves and cut them into smaller strips. Add some slices of red onion for extra flavor and a color contrast on the plate. Once the meat has marinated, it's time to cook it. If you choose grilling, preheat it well and place the strips of meat, allowing them to brown until golden and juicy. If you prefer to fry it, heat a pan with a little oil and cook the meat over medium heat, turning it to cook evenly. Once the meat is ready, let it rest for a few minutes before cutting it into smaller pieces. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, cut tomatoes, and cooked meat. You can also add other ingredients like feta cheese or olives to enhance the salad's flavor. For a simple dressing, mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad, gently mixing to avoid crushing the vegetables. Serve the salad immediately, garnished with some roasted pumpkin seeds or nuts for added texture. This salad is versatile and can be adapted based on available ingredients or personal preferences, making it ideal for quick lunches or hearty dinners. Enjoy it with a glass of lemon-infused water or a dry white wine, and your meal will be truly memorable.
