Tomato Soup I

In a large pot, we start by adding olive oil, allowing it to heat slightly to activate the flavors of the upcoming ingredients. When the oil becomes warm, it's time to add the finely chopped celery. This will provide a special taste and a pleasant aroma to our dish. We mix well to combine the flavors, then add a generous tablespoon of broth, which will help enhance the color and flavor of the sauce. Immediately after, we pour in the tomatoes, whether fresh or canned, being careful to crush them slightly with a wooden spoon to release the juice inside. We add a tablespoon of Delikat, which will bring extra flavor, along with a teaspoon of sugar to balance the acidity of the tomatoes. We don’t forget to season with salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste. We mix everything carefully, then complete with enough water to achieve the right consistency. We let the mixture simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce becomes thick and fragrant. It is important to be patient at this stage, as slow boiling will allow the ingredients to reveal all their flavors. When the sauce reaches the desired consistency, we take the pot off the heat and add the finely chopped fresh basil. This aromatic herb will bring a fresh taste and a hint of greenery to our dish. We cover the pot for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend perfectly. To transform this dish into an even more refined delight, we can enrich the sauce with a tablespoon of sour cream, which will add a creamy texture and a rich taste. This step is optional but recommended if we want to provide an extra touch of finesse. We serve the sauce warm, alongside crispy croutons, which will make each serving a true feast for the taste buds. The croutons can be made at home from toasted bread, drizzled with a little olive oil and garlic, to add a touch of flavor. Thus, we have a simple yet special dish, perfect for any occasion, that will surely impress everyone at the table.
