Cauliflower Salad, Canned Tuna and Pasta

To prepare this delicious and nutritious salad, we will start by carefully cleaning and washing the cauliflower. Once we are done, we can choose to boil it or steam it. If we opt for boiling, it is important to let it drain in a colander to remove excess water, thus keeping a pleasant texture. In the meantime, we will drain the canned tuna in a fine strainer, ensuring that we eliminate all the liquid from the can, so as not to alter the consistency of the salad. Meanwhile, we prepare the pasta. We boil the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions, being careful not to leave it too long, so that it remains al dente. Once the pasta is cooked, we quickly rinse it under cold running water. This step is essential to stop the cooking process and maintain a firm texture. If we have boiled the cauliflower, it is recommended to use the same water to boil the pasta, adding, if necessary, tap water to make up the volume. After the pasta has cooled, we take care of the tomatoes, which we dice, preparing them to add a note of freshness and color to the salad. In a large bowl, which we can also use for the pasta, we mix the cooled pasta, drained and cooled cauliflower, and well-drained tuna. Here, it is time to add salt and pepper to taste, along with a few tablespoons of yogurt, which will provide a pleasant creaminess to the dish. Once all the ingredients are well incorporated, we pour the salad into a serving bowl, which we will garnish with the previously cut tomatoes. It is a good idea to arrange the salad on a bed of fresh salad leaves, which will not only add an attractive appearance but also a crunchy note. After completing this step, we can put everything in the refrigerator, allowing the flavors to blend and intensify until serving. This salad is not only a light and healthy dish but also a perfect option for summer meals or special occasions, being appreciated by all who taste it.
