How to make tomato juice for winter

Preparing tomato juice for winter is a pleasant and flavorful activity that helps you keep the taste of summer even in the cold season. Using the blender method, the process becomes quick and efficient, without requiring complicated equipment or much effort. Here’s how you can get a delicious tomato juice in a short time without creating more mess than necessary. We start by choosing quality, ripe tomatoes with an intense color, as this will influence the taste and final appearance of the juice. Wash the tomatoes under a stream of cold water to remove impurities. Then, cut them in half, remove the stem, and for a more pleasant taste, you can cut them into smaller slices. They are now ready to be turned into juice. Put the tomato slices in the blender and blend at high speed for about a minute. You will notice how the tomatoes become a fine paste, full of juice. It is important to adjust the blending time according to the desired consistency; if you prefer a thicker juice, you can blend a little longer. After obtaining the desired mixture, pour the juice into a large pot and put it on the heat. Boil the tomato juice for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot. This process will not only intensify the flavor but also help improve the texture. After the juice has boiled, prepare the jars. Make sure they are well washed and sterilized to prevent any contamination. Fill the jars with the hot juice, leaving a small space at the top. Cover them with lids and place them in a large pot of water. Boil the jars for 20 minutes; this step is essential to ensure good preservation and to prevent fermentation. If you like, you can add salt or sugar to taste, but many prefer to leave the juice natural to savor the pure flavor of the tomatoes. From about 5 kg of tomatoes, you can obtain between 7 and 8 large jars (720 ml), enough to enjoy the taste of summer even on the coldest winter days. You can use this tomato juice in soups, sauces, or even as a base for various culinary dishes. Thus, each jar will be a splash of summer on your plate, reminding you of sunny days. By preparing tomato juice in a blender, you not only simplify your work but also offer yourself a tastier and more colorful final product.
Preparation
How to make tomato juice for winter. I prepare tomato juice for winter in a blender and use whole tomatoes with skins and seeds. The jars with tomato juice are ready in a maximum of 60-70 minutes, without much effort and mess as happens when I prepare it using the classic method of passing the tomatoes through a separator twice, etc. The juice prepared this way is much tastier and more colorful and keeps just as well as any other tomato juice. The well-washed tomatoes are cut in half and cored, then sliced and placed in a blender where they are mixed at high speed for 1 minute or until the desired consistency is reached. The resulting tomato juice is boiled for 30 minutes, after which it is placed hot in well-washed jars and covered tightly with lids. The jars with tomato juice and the lids installed are boiled for 20 minutes in a wide pot. I do not add salt or sugar to the juice, but it can be added to taste. From 5 kg of tomatoes, approximately 7-8 large jars (720ml) of tomato juice are obtained. The tomato juice prepared in the blender has the consistency of nectar, making it ideal for preparing soups, sauces, etc.
