Porridge with Fruits and Maple Syrup

In a medium-sized pot, start by adding the oats and the milk. This combination will form the delicious base of your dish. Let them sit aside for 10 minutes, so the oats can absorb the milk and become softer. This is the ideal time to prepare the other ingredients, so you have everything at hand when needed. After the 10 minutes, place the pot on the stove over medium heat and start stirring continuously. It is important not to let the mixture stick to the bottom of the pot, so do not step away from it. After a few minutes, you will notice how the mixture begins to simmer slowly, and the oats will swell, giving rise to a creamy and appetizing texture. When the mixture has started to boil, reduce the heat to low and set a timer for 4 minutes. During this time, continue to stir to ensure everything cooks evenly. Once the time is up, add the crushed frozen fruits that you prepared earlier. Choose fruits like raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries, which combine perfectly with the oats and bring a touch of freshness. Don’t forget to save a teaspoon of these fruits for the final decoration of the dish. Once the fruits have been integrated into the mixture, take portions of the resulting composition and arrange them in bowls. On top, add the banana slices, which not only add an attractive appearance but also provide natural sweetness to the dish. For an extra splash of flavor, drizzle maple syrup to taste. This sweetness will enrich the flavor of the oats and create a pleasant contrast with the acidity of the fruits. Serve the dish warm, savoring every bite. This breakfast is not only delicious but also nutritious, giving you the energy needed to start the day with a smile. This simple and quick recipe will surely become one of your family's favorites!
