Eggs in a Bed of Macaroni, Baked

We begin the culinary adventure by preparing four heat-resistant molds, which we will generously grease with butter. This step will not only prevent the food from sticking but will also add a delicious flavor. Once we finish greasing the molds, we will carefully place them in the refrigerator to cool, which is an important measure to ensure that our dish will have a perfect texture. In the meantime, we will boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water. It is essential to boil them only until they are al dente, meaning they should remain slightly firm, so they do not break down during baking. Once boiled, we will drain them and carefully place them at the bottom and on the sides of the cold molds, thus creating a firm base for our delicious filling. The next step is to prepare the vegetables. The spinach, which must be well washed, will be boiled in salted water, and after boiling, we will drain and chop it finely. The tomatoes will be diced, and the carrot will be grated, to integrate perfectly into the mixture. The ham, an essential ingredient, can be finely chopped or passed through a meat grinder, depending on your preferences. Now that we have all the ingredients prepared, we will start filling the molds. We will do this up to 3/4 of the height, alternating layers of ham, spinach, carrot, grated cheese, and tomatoes. The order in which we add the ingredients can vary depending on personal tastes, so I encourage you to be creative. Each mold will be topped with an egg, which we will carefully crack on top, then adding salt, pepper, and a little grated cheese for extra flavor. To bake the dish, we will use the bain-marie method. We place the molds in a tray in which we will pour hot water, almost up to the level of the egg. Then we will place them in the preheated oven at a moderate heat, letting them bake for about 6-8 minutes, or until the egg white is well set, and the dish becomes golden and appetizing. After being taken out of the oven, it is important to serve them as hot as possible, to enjoy all their delicious aroma and texture. Bon appétit on this culinary journey!
