Delight with pomegranates

This pomegranate dessert, as its name suggests, is a delight that combines fruity flavors with a fine and creamy texture. Preparing this dessert is a true pleasure, and the ingredients are accessible, making it perfect for any occasion. We start by preparing the ingredients: 300 g of pomegranate seeds, 200 g of Greek yogurt, 100 g of honey, 50 g of chopped nuts, the juice of one lemon, a teaspoon of vanilla, and a pinch of salt. The first step is to deal with the pomegranate seeds. We cut the pomegranate in half and, using a spoon, scoop out the seeds. It is important to remove the white membranes, as they can give a bitter taste. Once we have all the seeds in a bowl, we can set them aside. In another container, we mix the Greek yogurt with the honey, lemon juice, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. This mixture will form the creamy base of our dessert. After obtaining a uniform composition, we can add the pomegranate seeds, keeping some aside for decoration. We gently mix, being careful not to crush the seeds to maintain the crunchy texture. Now, all we need to do is pour the mixture into individual cups or bowls. We leave them in the refrigerator for about an hour to cool and let the flavors meld. Before serving, we sprinkle the chopped nuts over each cup, providing not only a contrast in texture but also a note of flavor. We decorate with the remaining pomegranate seeds, which will add a splash of color and freshness. This dessert is not only delicious but also full of vitamins and antioxidants, making it an excellent choice for a healthy meal. Enjoy this pomegranate dessert with your loved ones, letting yourself be carried away by its enticing aroma and refined taste. It is ideal for concluding a special dinner or for being served as a refreshing snack on hot days. Regardless of the occasion, this dessert will surely impress with its simplicity and elegance. Bon appétit!
Ingredients
- 2 pomegranates
- 3 eggs
- 80g flour
- 500ml milk
- 30g butter
- 150g sugar
- 1g salt.
Preparation
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Cut the pomegranates in half, remove the seeds and clean them so that only the seeds remain. For the cream, beat the egg whites well and gradually add 50g of sugar while continuing to beat. The yolks are mixed together with the remaining sugar, salt is added, flour is incorporated, and it is thinned with a little cold milk. The milk is boiled and then poured over the yolks. Mix with a whisk while keeping the bowl over a water bath. When the cream is ready, remove from heat, add the butter, the beaten egg whites, and gently mix until the egg whites are incorporated into the cream. Let it cool and then mix with the pomegranate seeds. Place the pomegranate skins in cups, fill with cream, and decorate with whipped cream if you want a special presentation. The pomegranate delight is served cold, decorated with pomegranate seeds.
