Gluten-Free Waffles

To prepare the most delicious waffles, we start by heating the waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. This is an essential step, as an optimal temperature will ensure a crispy texture on the outside and soft on the inside. In a larger bowl, we crack the eggs and beat them with a whisk or mixer until we achieve a smooth, fluffy mixture with a vibrant yellow color. Then, we add the yogurt and milk, continuing to mix well to integrate all the ingredients. In another bowl, we combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. It is important to mix all these dry ingredients to ensure that the leavening agent is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. Once the dry ingredients are well combined, we gradually add them to the egg, milk, and yogurt mixture, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Once we have a smooth mixture, we add the melted butter, which will add a rich flavor and delicious aroma to the waffles. When the mixture is ready, we take the waffle maker and, using a ladle, pour half a ladle of batter into each waffle mold. It is important not to overfill the molds, as the batter will expand and may overflow. We close the appliance and let the waffles cook according to the instructions. Usually, the process takes between 3 and 5 minutes, or until the appliance indicator signals that they are ready. After they are cooked, we carefully remove the waffles and place them on a platter. They can be served in many ways, bringing a splash of joy to every morning or any meal. We can top them with maple syrup, a dollop of whipped cream, and fresh fruits like strawberries or bananas. Additionally, chocolate sauce and raspberries are excellent options for those who prefer something more decadent. If we don’t consume all the waffles, we need not worry. These delights can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. We wrap each waffle in plastic wrap and place them in an airtight container. When we want to enjoy them again, we can reheat them in the appliance or oven to restore their original crispness. Thus, we always have a delicious and comforting snack on hand!
