Green Salad with Smoked Salmon, Shrimp, and Yogurt Sauce

To prepare a delicious shrimp and smoked salmon salad, we start by ensuring we have the necessary ingredients on hand. In a large bowl, we add fresh shrimp, which we will marinate with a little extra virgin olive oil and 3-4 crushed garlic cloves. It is important that the olive oil is of good quality, as it will influence the final taste of the dish. We cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the shrimp absorb the flavors in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, or even longer if we want a more intense flavor. This marination will help enhance the flavors and make the shrimp juicier. Meanwhile, we prepare the yogurt sauce. In another bowl, we combine 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil, the freshly squeezed juice of one lemon, and add a little salt and pepper to balance the taste. We mix the ingredients well until we achieve a smooth emulsion. The yogurt sauce will add a creamy note and perfectly complement the flavors of the sea. After the shrimp have marinated, we prepare the grill. We preheat it to medium heat and place the shrimp, allowing them to cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. It is essential not to overcook them, as they can dry out. The shrimp are ready when they become opaque and have a pink hue. After removing them from the grill, we set aside a few for garnish, while we clean the rest from their tails and chop them finely. We continue with the smoked salmon, which we cut into small cubes so that it blends perfectly with the other ingredients. The green salad, which we choose according to our preferences – whether it is arugula, iceberg lettuce, or spinach – we cut into smaller pieces to facilitate mixing. In a large bowl, we combine the salad, smoked salmon, and chopped shrimp, then pour the yogurt sauce on top. We mix gently, being careful not to crush the ingredients. Finally, we garnish the salad with the reserved shrimp and a few slices of lemon for a touch of freshness and an attractive appearance. Now, our salad is ready, full of delicious flavors and vibrant colors. Enjoy your meal!
